Within Edwards Insurance, Corporate Social Responsibility lies at the heart of what we do and who we are. It is embedded within our culture and we live it through our core values.
Our Customers
We are fully committed to giving a personal service to our customers and providing them with insurance products and solutions which are communicated in a clear and transparent way, that meet their needs.
We continually work to ensure that our customers receive outstanding service, and the Financial Conduct Authority initiative ‘Treating Customers Fairly’ is very much embedded into our policies and is central to our culture.
Our People
We respect and value our staff and we are fully committed to creating a culture of inclusion and diversity.
The training and development of employees is very important to us as we want to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to provide our customers with expert advice. We actively encourage and support our staff to take industry led professional qualifications and our people are committed to maintaining their ethical standards, knowledge and enhancing their capabilities.
Our Suppliers
It is integral to our business that our suppliers and business partners share the same principals as we do. Our reputation is very important to us and to help protect this, we will only do business with organisations that act in an ethical way. We now have an Ethical Procurement Statement’ in place which sets out our approach to ethical procurement.
Our Local Communities
We believe in and support our local communities. Over The next 12 months we will support colleagues who volunteer or fundraise for charity and can provide time off and company support to facilitate time in the community.
We will be giving the employees the opportunity to all vote to nominate a local charity to support and channel our energies into. This will be marked through ‘monthly dress down Friday’s, enjoyable fundraising events and professional support for the nominated charity.
We are currently participating in a local initiative with the West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) programme called Thrive at Work which aims to transform the area through a robust and focused programme of change. The WMCA’s vision-led approach enables ambitious, yet achievable outcomes focused on the issues that make the biggest differences to the quality of life of the people who live in the area.
We are fully dedicated to creating a workplace that promotes employee health and wellbeing, focusing on key organisational enablers such as health and safety, manager training, mental health, musculoskeletal and physical health with an aim to promote healthier lifestyles.
Our Environment
Edwards Insurance Brokers is committed to protecting our environment and we are always working to reduce our carbon footprint. We continually seek opportunities to reduce energy, recycle waste, business travel and paper consumption. We now operate an office which is 100% paperless.
